Robert Zardeneta has over 19 years of experience working with non-profit organizations throughout the City and County of Los Angeles, and 13 years of experience in successfully raising funds for non-profit organizations. As Executive Director of LA CAUSA, Inc. Robert grew the organization to become one of the premier youth leadership development and educational programs in the country. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, and the Obama Administration, recognized LA CAUSA’s service efforts in the United We Serve campaign. In 2010, Robert was awarded the Latino Leader of the Green Economy Innovation award by the Congressional Hispanic Congress Institute. Robert’s work was also featured in an award winning book entitled Latinnovating: Green American Jobs and the Latinos Creating Them, by Graciela Tiscareno-Sato and most recently he was named 1 of 20 Latino Innovators of 2012 by NBC Latino and 1 of Poder Magazine’s Top 100 Green Latinos. Robert currently serves as the CEO and founder of CALÓ YouthBuild, an innovative organization that hopes to transform the East Los Angeles/Boyle Heights/Central City East community by utilizing a triple bottom line approach of addressing social, economic, and environmental concerns to create a model of community, youth driven solutions that can be replicated throughout all communities in need.
